What is Stewardship?
We enter our spiritual home not to be entertained but to be part of a community of believers. We pray, worship and serve together. Our presence and engagement with one another help us to grow spiritually as a family. We give sacrificially as we acknowledge that all we have comes from God. Stewardship is action motivated by humble gratitude to God for his blessings in our life. Stewardship is a ministry of the church.

The Stewardship Pledge Card can be submitted online or you can download the form, fill it out and mail it to the church office. Forms will also be available at church.
Instructions for submitting Stewardship Pledge Card online:
- Complete the Stewardship Pledge Card online and submit.
- Go to Stewardship Payment Page and process your payment.
- The first time you use this new payment system, you will want to “Sign Up” and create a profile. Next time you can just “Log In”. The advantage of having a Log In is great for parishioners! You will be able to see all the donations you made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church. At the end of the year, you will have a great accounting of what you gave for tax purposes.

Instructions for submitting Stewardship Pledge Card to the church office through email or mail-in:
- Download the Stewardship Pledge Card.
- Fill out and complete the form.
- If paying by check, mail check along with completed form to church office at: 74-109 Larrea St. Palm Desert, CA 92261.

What does my Stewardship pay for?
A: It costs approximately $30,000 per month to keep the church doors open. Most operating costs are paid from Stewardship. Some examples are the Archdiocese assessments, utilities, pastoral salaries and their benefits, candles, and maintenance of all facilities. Additional costs are directly related to church programs.
Q: How much should I pledge for my Stewardship?
A: Prayerfully review your ability to contribute as a member of our St. George family. Remember it is not necessary to pay your complete pledge at one time. Pledge your annual amount in January, then choose to pay weekly, month, semi-annually or annually. Complete your Stewardship Commitment Form on-line or print out, fill it our PDF version and bring your completed form to the Church office.
Here's a table of income and suggested yearly/monthly offerings for Stewardship. The suggested amount is between 2-4% of net (after-tax) annual income.
