Volunteer Opportunities
Join us in volunteering your time and talents to help further our mission of aiding those in need. Membership to St. George Philoptochos is open to all women of our parish ages 18 and older. We encourage ladies of our community to join us to continue our good works. St. George Philoptochos invites all of our community to become members regardless of age or gender.

Membership Meetings
Monthly meetings provide an opportunity to enjoy a speaker or other presentation, socialize with new friends and learn about current or planned programs that you may want to participate in. If you are interested in becoming a member of Philoptochos, click Becoming a Member.
Coffee Hour
Immediately following our church service in our parish hall, coffee hour is sponsored by Philoptochos, where parishioners can socialize with friends and church members while having coffee, donuts or cookies.
Baking Greek Pastries for Church Events
Philoptochos bakes Greek Pastries for holidays and sales these products as a fundraiser for the organization and for all church sponsored events. We make koulourakia, kourambethes, melamecaroma, and Greek sweet bread. Come and learn from our experienced bakers how to make Greek pastries! Check the Calendar for baking dates.
Memorial Service
Philoptochos can provide Kolyva for a $75 donation as well as paximathia or koulourakia for $12.00 per dozen for a Memorial Service. If a memorial luncheon is needed, it is the responsibility of the family to do.
To schedule a Memorial for a loved one who has passed away complete the Philoptochos Memorial Request form. For questions regarding Memorials contact Rhonda Latkovic at rlatkovic@stgeorgepd.org.

Visiting and Helping Out at the Organizations that we Support
We visit many of our philanthropies when volunteers are needed. We organize and make baskets for those in need, blankets for children and help out at our local charities when needed.
